Taking on the theme of Dia los Muertos or “Day of the Dead” and the concept of “Alebrijes”, this piece is dedicated to pets and fuzzy best friends that have passed on. The main figures in the piece are the artist’s pets that have departed- Ocito (Dog), Penelope (mouse on the bottom of pipe), Sophie (mouse on top of pipe), and Jellybean (fish by credits).

ABOUT THIS ARTIST

Born in McAllen TX, moved to Houston at age 3 and stayed up there for the next 15 years, returning to the Valley to attend The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley to study for Accounting. Discovered love for art at age 11 and has been drawing ever since. Currently does art as a hobby.
