ABOUT THIS PIECE

This painting represents the delicate balance between life and death. The monarch butterfly and the coneflower live a fragile existence. However the Monarch Buttefly is able to migrate across the entire North America, from Canada down to Mexico and all across the United States. For such a small creature that is amazing. This painting was originally part of a larger mural dedicated to my mom that has since been covered up, so painting it again brings me much comfort.  - Adrain Rodriguez
