IRRIGATION PIPE - PUBLIC ART PROJECT

Irrigation Pipe Public Art Project gives art a stronger presence in the City, by showcasing local artists' work on the over 200 irrigation pipes.


A few of those stand along the Hike & Bike Trails, but we have a full interactive map to show you ever piece & artist!

PAINT MCALLEN BEAUTIFUL

Do you enjoy painting? If so, Paint McAllen Beautiful (PMB) is the program for you. Volunteers (ages 16 and older) help beautify by painting low-income senior citizen’s homes. Homes are chosen through an application process and the applicant must meet income and household size requirements.

CLEANUP PROJECTS

Volunteer for a cleanup project throughout the year with your school, church, business, or organization. Groups of 10 or more can can participate in their own project! It's easy, just contact KMB at 956-681-4562 and let us set a date/time/place for you to pick up litter along our streets or parks.

ADOPT-A-PARK

Want to make a difference in our community? Keep McAllen Beautiful (KMB) and the City of McAllen Parks & Recreation Department have created a program so that any interested business, school, or family can “Adopt-A-Park”. We all want to live in a beautiful community, so why not help us maintain litter-free parks?

PROJECT CLEAN NEIGHBORHOODS

Project Clean Neighborhoods is designed to assist in helping to clean and beautify neighborhoods. Roll-offs (dumpsters) will be provided at no cost so that citizens may dispose of any broken appliances, trash or debris; as long as a few guidelines are met. Volunteer to arrange for a cleanup in your neighborhood.

ARBOR BEAR - COLORING BOOK

Arbor Bear made its first appearance during the 2015 McAllen’s Christmas for Kids Parade as a giant bear sporting a very cool Arbor Day Celebration event t-shirt. The children in the crowd immediately fell in love with our fluffy friend and started interacting with it.
