I was inspired to call this piece "Garden at Night" with mental health in mind. Things can get so dark sometimes but we need reminders to show us that beauty exists if we are open to looking for it. It is the bright and bold colors standing apart from the dark that makes us stand out. - Amanda Ramirez
ABOUT THIS ARTIST
I’ve always turned to painting as a way of taking a step back to focus my energy on myself. My inspiration is drawn from anything around me like my garden, my children or even a good book. As a resident of Edinburg I’ve been lucky enough to share some of my work at Festiba, Los Muertos Bialan and Fridafest. Once Covid came I was unable to showcase my work. My recent work can now be found in the comfort of my own home I share with my awesome husband Tim, our two children Melody and Dominic and two cats. -
