ABOUT THIS PIECE
This piece is meant to show my love of Folklorico Dance. Although I am not a dancer, I have great appreciation for the beautiful craft of this dance and how it connects to my culture. I love nature, and I wanted to incorporate that through the various native flowers that surround the lower portion of the pipe. You can find a couple Monarch butterflies amongst the flowers. Quinta Mazatlán lines the top of the pipe, acknowledging the work they do in preserving the natural beauty in our community. Lastly, we have the ever so present palms that encompass the Valley Spirit. -
