ABOUT THIS PIECE

This irrigation pipe design was inspired by my commitment to doing my part to support and protect Mother Earth. As both a mother and a Girl Scout troop leader, I strive to educate and lead by example—showing that no matter how small our efforts to create change may seem, they still make a meaningful impact.

With so much happening in the world today, I hope this artwork serves as a reminder that beauty still exists all around us. We only have one Mother Earth, and she is worth protecting. - Amanda Ramirez

ABOUT THIS ARTIST

I’ve always turned to painting as a way of taking a step back to focus my energy on myself. My inspiration is drawn from anything around me like my garden, my children or even a good book. As a resident of Edinburg I’ve been lucky enough to share some of my work at Festiba, Los Muertos Bialan and Fridafest. Once Covid came I was unable to showcase my work. My recent work can now be found in the comfort of my own home I share with my awesome husband Tim, our two children Melody and Dominic and two cats.
