ABOUT THIS PIECE

This mural features a language of symbols to represent our relationship between physical barriers and the need for connection.

The birds and butterfly symbols repeated along the top represent long distances covered in our journey, while the foot prints repeated along the bottom represent individual steps that have to take place. The dark lines in the center represent physical barriers standing between us and our destination. The human figures link arms to represent the connection we have regardless of the physical barriers that separate us. 

The title "Bridge" is given as an alternative to barriers, as we work towards uniting as a community.  - Glenn Edingurgh
