TITLE

Along The Current

ARTIST

Amani Nguma

CREATED

May 2021

LOCATION

Hackberry and Bicentennial

ABOUT THIS PIECE

I made this piece to illustrate the colors of the Rio Grande Valley. The layers of colors on the shells of the turtles represent the diversity of the RGV. The piece is a representation of how we are all differently designed, but of the same species. - Amani Nguma

ABOUT THIS ARTIST

Amani loves science, cooking, and art. He combines the three concepts and make life a little bit easier to understand, whether it’s understanding the chemistry of food, or using art to convert everyday scenes of nature and life into a vibrant form. One of his goals is to one day go to a great college where he can blend all of his passions together and hopefully make the world a better place.
